INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR ASPHALT AND CONCRETE SURFACES
Installation using spikes on asphalt surfaces:
- Drill 1/2"diameter holes in the asphalt through the product's holes
- Drive 1/2" rebar spike (14" long) through the holes in the park-it
- This is a stock item
Installation using lag bolts and metal shields (recommended for concrete surfaces):
- Use 1/2" or 5/8" lag bolts (6" long)
- Drill 1/2" diameter pilot hole through the park-it installation holes
- Remove the park-it, re-drill the holes for the diameter and depth required by the metal shields
- Install the metal shields, re-position the product and bolt it with lag bolts
Installation using PL Premium adhesive
PL Premium can be used to install the park-it's to concrete or asphalt surfaces, as long as the surface is relatively flat, clean and free from cracks and oil stains. The surface of the parking curb should be cleaned using toluene or paint thinner to obtain good contact. Apply adhesive to curb and install into position using weight to obtain the best contact results. Allow 48 hours to cure before using the curb under normal use.
