Why Should I Care About a Certified Lift?

If you don’t see the Gold Label on the lift, then it is not a Gold Certified lift.
CSA approved lifts don't necessarily have the Gold Certification Label but Garage Strategies’ lifts do.
Gold Certification Label means independently tested by the Automotive Lift Institute to ensure the utmost in safety and quality.

Our Rotary 4 Post Vehicle Lift is ALI Certified and has received ALI/ETL approval.

Both the 8000 Standard 4 post lift and the XLT are ALI/ETL Certified. To achieve certification, each lift model must meet ANSI standards and be third party tested and validated by an accredited independent testing company. Not all lifts are the same. It takes a combination of the right design, engineering excellence and quality manufacturing to earn this certification. Look for the "Gold ALI/ETL label" on the lift. It is extra assurance for the buyer that the lift meets the highest industry safety and performance standards.

ETL meets OSHA requirements as one of only twelve nationally recognized testing laboratories in the country. ETL tests the lifts the ensure compliance with the American National Standard ANSI/ALI ALCTV - 2006 and ANSI UL Standard 201 and periodically inspects the factory where the lifts are being made.

Lifts are subjected to thorough safety tests such as a 1.5 rated load test, cable cut tests and deformation tests. If the lift passes the tests and the factory meets the standards, then the lift may carry the gold "ALI Certified/ETL Listed Mark". Each individual lift model must receive its own ALI/ETL certification.

Key certification considerations...

• ETL is the ONLY nationally recognized testing lab (NRTL) that manages the ALI program.
• There are no conditional, temporary or partial certifications. The lift is either certified or not certified.
• No one is authorized to use the ALI/ETL certification label or reference it without all requirements being met.

Our Rotary 4 Post Vehicle Lift is warranted by the Manufacturer to the original owner only 5 years from invoice date on structural components (columns, arms, runways, and carriages) to be free of defects in material and workmanship. Non-structure items (cylinder, power unit and parts) are warranted for 1 year from invoice date. All other accessories are warranted for 1 year from invoice date on structural components, hydraulic power units, and cylinders. The manufacturer shall replace those parts returned to the factory which prove upon inspection by the manufacturer to be defective. The manufacturer shall pay for reasonable costs of ground transportation of said parts only and no labor for replacement of said parts. Registration of the lift is required to receive the warranty coverage. This warranty shall not apply unless the product is installed, operated, used and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s Lift’s specifications set forth in the installation, operation and maintenance instructions. This warranty is exclusive and all other expressed or implied warranties including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are hereby expressly excluded. The remedies described are exclusive and in no event shall the manufacturer or any sales agent be liable for any special, consequential or incidental damages of any kind including damages for breach of or delay in performance of the warranty. This warranty shall be governed under the laws of the State of Indiana, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court in the State of Indiana in the County of Jefferson. This warranty does not apply to the following:

• Normal wear and tear items such as cables, sheaves, sliders, plastic and rubber components.
• Normal maintenance and adjustments as required by the owner’s manual.
• Failure to follow installation and operation instructions or user neglect or abuse.
• Damage caused by corrosion of any kind.
• Damage to components incurred during transportation or unloading.
• Damage caused by improper lifting or overloading.
• Any lift that has been altered from the original design or improperly repaired.
• Cosmetic defects or blemishes that do not interfere with functionality of the lift.
